I haven't slept a wink... it is 3:10am and I am too excited to lay down even though my eyes are heavy. Maybe I'll get some sleep in the plane.
My mind has been going all day long. It seems this day has snuck up on me. I've felt rushed all week long, trying to get last minute things squared away; like who is going to feed my fish...
I sit here trying to jot my thoughts down hoping to slow myself down and allow the Lord's voice to be the only voice I hear. I want nothing else but His wisdom and guidance.
I am so happy to get away from all that is going on around my American life. I don't want to hear another thing about the election, gas prices, Lindsey Lohan and the Spears sisters. I want to hear about what God is doing. I want to learn and grow from my mission team sisters and from the women in Guatemala. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us all. I know it's going to be more than I can imagine.
He has been so great in my life already. I could ask for nothing else and yet He continues to bless me. He's blessed me with a great support group that has prayed over me and helped financially. I am forever grateful to all of them.
I ask for prayer over my bible study lessons next Monday and Tuesday; may He speak through me; and safety during our entire trip.

One group of women living at the Guatemala City dump is trying to rise above a destiny of scavenging through trash. They are the "Thabita Project." With the new hope of Jesus in their hearts, they now learn to make and sell handmade goods to survive. Our mission goal is to come alongside the work the Holy Spirit has already begun in them, to give them the spiritual, practical, and financial support they will need for their journey.

Mission Team Prayer Needs
- Protection: (health & well-being) before and during trip
- Provision: preparations for our families and for the team before and during the trip (time and a peace as we walk through all that has to be done and settled)
- Direction: As we seek Him, that we would follow His guide step by step as He lays it out, and that we will be faithful to seek, seek, seek Him in all things.
- Power: God will fill us (with His power and strength) to overflow His love onto these beautiful women.
- Blessing: He will bless the work of our hands for His glory!

Prayer Needs for Women of Thabita Project
- Our prayer is to continue to reveal the truth of God’s word concerning Who He says they are in Him. We pray that they will build trusting relationships with women and that they will learn practical skills to give their families a better way of life (they currently live off of approximately $50.00/month).
Prayer Needs for Guatemalan Workers
- The heart that our two coordinators (Pastor Jorge and Carol) have for the Lord is clearly seen. He has put these women in their path, and they have followed His calling. Pray for them to have direction and to be blessed.
- The group of 10 women to help us is already an answer to prayer as we have prayed that God would bring Christian women in-country along side the Thabita Project. Pray for relationship building among these women and the women of Thabita, and for God to bless this group abundantly.

Adriana, as I'm typing you all are at the airport, dealing with your flight changes. I say "Praise God" to any changes that moved you to a direct flight that arrives 2 hours earlier! One of the great joys of this journey so far has been meeting you and discovering what an amazing faith lies beneath that beautiful exterior. God has gifted you to overflowing. I have a feeling He is going to be revealed through you in unique ways that He has purposed only for you to do. You, Allie, and Alaina are all in my prayers today while you travel.

Wow! How amazing is our God! So glad that you all arrived safely, and I pray that you get a restful nights sleep! Sounds like that wasn't happening last night. I know that God will continue to direct your steps tomorrow. And, I just have to say AMEN to everything that Dawn said - she said it so beautifully about such a beautiful lady - He is definitely pouring His love and hope right through you!
